The hotel is a gold sponsor of Costas Verdes, a non-profit that has been Restoring Costa Rican coastal ecosystems through reforestation projects since 2009. In commitment to clean water for all, Silvestre Nosara follows the gold standard for wastewater treatment: a Bionest system. Every drop of water is treated and repurposed for irrigating the gardens, which eases pressure on water demands for the local community Inside the building, the focus is on water conservation, insulation, and energy efficiency. Ecologically friendly and locally sourced products are used wherever possible with fair prices for suppliers. Additionally, the hotel allocates more rest days per week than Costa Rica’s hospitality industry standard to promote a work-life balance.
