This curated 9-day itinerary pairs El Chepe’s iconic rail experience with guided exploration across the Sierra Tarahumara. Begin in El Fuerte’s colonial center before a first-class ride to Divisadero for canyon-view lodging and options in Copper Canyon Adventure Park (zip lines, cable car, or guided hikes). Travel by road to Creel with stops at the Valleys of the Monks and the Mushrooms, then descend dramatic switchbacks to Batopilas, a former silver-mining town on the river’s edge. Choose day hikes to the 18th-century Lost Cathedral of Satevó or to historic mine sites and mesas with sweeping canyon vistas. Return to Creel, continue to Chihuahua with a cultural stop in a Mennonite community, and depart from the state capital. Designed for travelers who value landscape, culture, and comfort in equal measure.
